Topic: Pyro-like ship in new Miner Wars trailer

for Miner Wars you can catch a glimpse of a Pyro-like ship rotating withing a darkened area.





In the trailer they also made an obvious reference to Descent in that 15 years ago "you were going down".

I'm thinking that would be incredibly lame. Their reward was playing the game for free, they don't need any more special stuff.

No, we only got a first looks into an alpha where you couldn't do much. We are all paying to play the full game.

Does this have anything to do with the GeoCore project that some guy was working on a while back or is that something different?

No this is completely different.
Many of us are actually optimistic about Miner Wars... it looks like it could get finished.  And there is a lot of interest in the game, even outside the Descent community.

It's not a bad-looking ship actually. It certainly looks like it means business.

I wondered if GeoCore had reformed or something. This game certainly looks as though it'll be big.
It's good that someone's taken the initiative and filled a gap in the market.
