Someone wasn't paying attention. Us and the blugs are fairly equal. We're the only ones who have even come close to beating blug so far in any of the previous rounds. This is a bad thing why?

The server was doing a few wonky things, but it came back up pretty quickly. This night, we took over Blug's system, Brugle. Now we will have a great farm of Cryozine for our ships.

It's even worse today. I tried pressing 'f3', and clicking on the icons on the left, but no-go.

What's happening when you hit those keys, WillyP?

FYI:

F3 should bring up a Comm dialog. (From there you can go to the "Hail" channel, move the slider to "Galaxy" communication, and talk with people in the game.)

The buttons on the left should bring up various dialogs and controls. Note that to toggle between controlling the character and using the dialogs and such, you either right-click or hold Ctrl.

P.S. You might also try jumping on the TeamSpeak server (ts.hazeron.net, requires the TS2 client). If folks are there, they can help.

When I press f3 it flashes the com panel but it won't stay open. Same with the buttons. and the hand icon jumps all over the place, when you not moving it. It was working yesterday. Some character came up to me and showed me how to use the com panel, and how to move around. Then he said he dropped a torch and I should pick it up but I could not see the torch. Later I found a rifle, uniform and two plastic helmets which I picked up but could not figure out how to use. Then it crashed or I got booted.

I don't have TeamSpeak.

Hm, I've never seen those issues before. It's a Beta, though... so there are bugs (which is exactly why it's open for testing right now).

Let me know if it still happens if you try to play one more time.

I did a little tinkering with the sounds just like I do in Descent.

So today I tried joining again, when I hit f3 the comm panel blinks at me. Then I noticed when I mouse over where it should be, the cursor changes, So I tried using it even though I couldn't see it, that didn't work so well, it started typing at random for me, so I tried each of the buttons on the left and each one blinked at be, then the all started flashing rapidly. So now I am going to try deleting it and installing again.

First I'm going to have some lunch, though.

FYI, I just asked one of the devs about this. He said it sounded like a bug he's seen before, caused by a Vista transparent widget (gadget?) setting.

No Vista, XP. It worked fine when I first installed it, except I couldn't put on the clothes I found, or use the gun. And I couldn't find any doors! Then I noticed there was a patch for windows, so I installed that.
