Some of my favorite levels are Level 3 (I love the supertheif, the rest of the level can just go away :P), the proving Grounds, and the one where you're getting the parts for the Tank. Those are some really fun levels, especially with cheats on :P

Have you ever let the Super Theif steal your mass driver? Thats fun. =P
Yes I have. Possibly the most dangerous bot in the game when he gets his paws on that.

He stole a black shark once too, not sure if he used it or not. I was a bit cautious after that ;)

all it needs now is a WarTopHat

Maybe I should do that. Then make it fire missles out of it. YAY.  :P

fire missiles
Wouldn't that defeat the point of super-thief if he has weapons of his own? (Besides that pitiful laser he spams and the flares he likes to shoot (lolwut? flares?))

Yeah, that's true. The D2 GB isn't always very user friendly...

At least the D3 GB apologizes when he flares you. :P

And of course, when you're low enough on shields, even bumping too hard into walls can kill you. :P

Heh, I remember a couple times (way back when learning Descent 2) of getting down to barely any shields and Guidebot "accidentally" hits me with a flare (quote: "GB: Sorry about that!") ... and I explode.  >:(

Actually kinda funny (now).

GB just didn't like being told to "Go Away" ... so he got revenge on TechPro!  ;D

You can tell him to go away in D3?

Don't flares only do 1 damage? tbh if you had only 1 shield left you'd probably die from hitting a wall too hard if GB didn't mercy kill you.

Yeah, no "Go Away" in D3.  Instead just reel GB inside then tell it to shut up (turn off GB chatter).

Surprisingly I never had any serious problems with the D2 guidebot flaring me. He's much more likely to do it than the D3 one though.

I'm just surprised they didn't make you immune to his shots unlike how he's immune to your shots (except splash damage)

I don't think you can harm yourself by ramming walls after you've fallen at or below 20 shields. I do believe, however, that the Guidebot can hurt you with flares. Strangely, I think the Guidebot's flares are more powerful than the players - doesn't the player's only do half a point of damage and the guidebot's do one whole point of damage?
I, for one, hope this is much, much more than a reconnaissance mission.

* Darcshadow7 checks.

Thats odd, gamtool says GB isnt equipped with anything but a Level 6 laser. (White)

And level 1 red lasers.. but thats default for anything, so ignore that. :P
