so what are your favorite toys that you have as a kid?
mine are:
-Transformers (early G2) (I used to have Optimus Prime, Devastator, and bumblebee)
-mid 90s Starwars toys
-Legos
-one of the diecast Jet toys
-the Battletech toys from TYCO (they were cool IMO, but not the Cartoon)
(that's all I can think of)
-
Micro Machines (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro_Machines), namely the Star Trek models.
I also used to collect Hot Wheels cars as a kid, but have since kind of stopped.
-
Legos. Definitely legos. I need to start buying a million of these things as it is my lifelong ambition to magically evolve into a master builder and then build the USS Enterprise 11-foot studio model out of legos.
But that probably isn't happening ever.
-
Now that I think about it, I was kind of into Legos a little as a kid, too, but I think in the long run, there were other toys I enjoyed more, oddly enough.
-
my fav toy was stuff called mecano...bits of metal that screwed together making cranes or bridges etc..great fun and a wooden fort my dad made so I could play cowboys and indians with little plastic people, happy days...no mortgage no bills no nagging
-
Lego first and then Star Trek and Star Wars Micro Machines. I would absolutely love a full set of both because nothing as good has ever been made since.
Then my favourite toy became the Windows general purpose computer, lol!
Seems a bit odd but I collect replica weapons (particularly phasers) from sci-fi shows and Master-Grade Gundam kits. I'm very selective in what I get though. I consider them for quite a while to get only the best ones because I don't have a lot of space.

I had something like legos, but actually, not really. you connected pieces together, whether it was sticks or wheels, or whatever else. I think I have tried making a (poor) X-Wing. that or I saw some picture of someone doing it. been soooooo long.
-
Definitely legos. I have a ton of custom models including a space cruiser, the Pyro, some other pyro looking thing, and then I also have several normal things like a snow speeder from Star Wars, AT-RT, bunch of the minis, and all of the Lego Rock Raider stuff.
And then TONS of model military aircraft including an Su-27, Su-47, A-10, F-22, F-35, RAH-66 Comanche, oh god I have so many.
-
Legos and Rokenbok. Primarily Legos. Oh the legos... So many happy hours were had.
-
When I was a child (just after fire was discovered), I played with Legos (before they got fancy), Lincoln Logs, Matchbox cars (lots of those) ... and my favorite toy was a Texaco fuel truck (check out the pic). :D
-
I was into lego and not much else (kind of like the majority it seems!).
I started playing Magic: The Gathering when I was 11, but seeing as I'm still playing (and it is kind of an all-ages thing) it doesn't really count.
-
my favorite toy was called "250 matches"........................what?
-
Now you're playing with fire!

hang on to all that stuff will be worth a a fortune in about 100 years (leave it to your kids) if you have any or plan to

I don't really have the 250 matches anymore. have the box I think :)

I had a lot of those "non-fancy" Legos as well. My dad passed them on to me, and I plan to do the same to my kids some day.
