It's almost June, folks. So show us what cool desktops you've got to counteract the coming heat!
I'll start with my Linux distro of choice, Crunchbang. Ninja!
-
My desktop is actually a mess right now. Ill fix it up soon. :P
Fixed, now I need a new picture for it. ;)
My Bill The Cat port to Flight Back. >.>
-
Hey, no cheating ;)
This I took a few days ago in Bear Notch, NH.
-
Haven't done anything new. Just rotated back to the Zero Alliance photo.
Wait, time out.
I can haz a secnd think?
That there's Zero. The primary inspiration for my nick name. You can take your Master Chief, and shove him..... :P
-
Still yet to change it. I need to find a new nature related picture.
-
Mine is a WIP screenshot of AGox-fal tse'erm, level 18 of my D2X-XL mission. The name of the level actually does mean something (it's an anagram).
If anyone figures it out, I will be highly impressed.
-
here's mine from yesterday and today (the one of the Battlemaster (I found the image from Battlecorps.com), and one of the obvious (got it with the GOG version of Descent)
-
*squee* another MW fan!
-
lol Where've you been? ;)
-
Here is my desktop showing the loadscreen for the next release of the UnderVerse (click my siggys if you have no clue what this is).

F22 - Pilfered the image off Wikipedia.
God damn is that a mess. You can tell it's been a busy semester.
-
Here is mine... I've taken the picture from the POTD thread, if you guys don't mind? :)
-
No, we're going to have to ban you now, Shroudeye. :P
/me is using sarcasm.
A POTD for a background? More power to you! ;)
-
I've done that before.
Well, technically, I used said pic as a desktop first, and THEN sent it in as a POTD. :P
I haven't changed my desktop pic recently either, guess I should look into it, then. :)
-
It happens that I changed my Win7 desktop background at work just this morning ...
EDIT: I decided to include a snapshot of one of the systems on my laptop... (for those that care, it's the non-Windows OS I've been happiest with the most (thus far) on that system. This last week at work I've played around with Mandriva (Gnome, KDE), OpenSUSE (KDE, Gnome), Fedora (Gnome, KDE), Mint 8 and 9, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu .... Been interesting comparing them side-by-side.
-
Okay, changed my desktop pic. Had several piled up that I've been wanting to use, but I was happiest with this one. :)
-

NOOO! Pleease! :D

Given the direction of sun you can see from how the small planet/moon is lit, the comet trails point to the wrong direction (they should point away from the sun as they are caused by sun wind).
-
Meh, Looks cooler this way.
-
And how do you know that they are comets?
Maybe they are alien ships that passes from afar? ;)
-
They're CLEARLY two of the new Gundams from Gundam 00, lol.
-
There's actually a whole mess of scientific inaccuracies in that pic, but I could care less, just so long as it looked cool. :)
-
Coolness counts in pictures. Science does not.
-
I always use default desktops. I guess I am just that boring ;D
-
Indeed.
And hey! Look who finally posted his 4th post after being AWOL for 100000 years! How's your Singleplayer Hyperspace Wars project going? Wouldn't blame you if you gave it up. It sounded like a lot of work.

That's very true - I mean, whoever saw a giant, blue, glowing clock in space?
-
I didn't give it up, I just stopped working on it about 5 months ago. It's on 'perma-freeze' for the time being. Stay tuned though... :)
-

Oh well, the Widget clock would've been there regardless of the desktop background, so it's always going to have that inaccuracy. :P
