This is a bit of a test of a new drumkit Soundfont. What's new for now is mostly the bass kicks (they're 7 layers each). They don't quite fit "general" drumkit sounding, but they do seem to work fine for Descent. The sound's more or less in the style of Descent level 4 soundtrack drums.
Briefing.mid with the new kicks:
Just the drumkit soloed:

Every time I listen to any of the original descent music you post up here I get goosebumps. I love the descent soundtrack, and that drum kit sounds pretty nice. What program do you use for this?

Sounds nice. :)

The drums were synthesised in Reason 5, sampled at 96 KHz/24-bit, processed in Izotope Trash, then downsampled to 44/16 with SRC and finally turned into Soundfont samples. This was originally meant as a General MIDI drumkit, but it's been turning out to be something else entirely, so looks like it'll be a standalone Soundfont drumkit.

Solo link corrected.

Oh, and yeah: the MIDI player is XMPlay with BASSMIDI and the Silverspring bank.

Hey... I understand some of those words!

I want to make a Sytrus soundfont. As soon as I figure out how...
Considering how much people love Sytrus I'd be surprised if it hasn't been done already but still...
