Project Fatty The Great Escape --… Digital Worlds
The Great Escape -- Theme of the Thief

Theme of the thief.  I'll change the picture once I get a good shot of him.  Very interesting how the song was created:

I decided to combine the feels of D2's Ratzez, Rouge's songs from Sonic Adventure 2, along with Zsolt Marx's song "Fill Your Pages" from TrackMania Sunrise... a few hours later this was the result.  It sounds very alien, especially later on in the song.

Very wierd, but I think it's good too.  Even though it has no acid synths, I'd classify it as acid dubstep (since the beat is distorted kind of like dubstep) because it's wierd like acid music.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

This is what the alien voices are singing (i.e. the lyrics)
They were inspired by Darkflamewolf's level of the same name from Vignettes, and they're also really wierd (the idea was an alien language translated to english but still with it's own grammar, so they're not totally random).  All the lyrics were made with the FL Speech synth, fruity slicer, wasp, and vocodex (and they all use all of those).

-----------------------------------------------------------------

First part:

"Escape from the mine
You are trapped inside
Bots are everywhere
You must find the secret path"

"Escape from the mine
Bots are everywhere
You are trapped inside
Find the key
Find the key!"

Second part:

"Dude I am so not scared
You cannot fight me anywhere
Bots are everywhere
Find the key
Find the key!"

And at the end:

"Key!"

------------------------------------------------------------

Come to think of it they sound kind of like something from Scott Pilgrim.  It would make a good theme for the D2 Theifbot, the music, the lyrics, and the title fit him perfectly.  (I suppose then I should play it in D2 level 7... such a huge interconnected level it feels like the thief owns it :P).

Duuuude! This is THE single most BEST song you've made yet! SO awesome with the lyrics! Totally "Ratzezesque!" While it doesn't have the melody and the instrumentation of "Ratzez," it has the THEME and SOUL and EXACT momentum of Ratzez. I've dreamed of hearing remixes of the Redbook Audio tracks and have thought of remixing the songs in this style, but I do not have the resources to do so. This is dead on to what I've been thinking about. You should remix the entire redbook audio soundtrack from both D1 and D2... ALL 34 tracks (including the exit!)!

Thanks for the review... I actually expected you'd like it because of the breakdown at the end :P.
However it's not really intended as mix of Ratzez.
The lyrics and the song structure are based kind of on Ratzez (though the lyric structure is based on Fill Your Pages), but the melody itself, which is equally important to the song, is based on Rouge the Bat's style of music from Sonic Adventure 2 (Rouge was also a thief... lol).  I wouldn't call it (and I didn't intend it as) a remix of Ratzez because it actually takes more from Sonic adventure 2 than it does from D2 redbook.

Pretty cool song. The Speech synth is very well used on this one. Excellent work! :Thumbs up!:  5/5

Thanks.  Wait till you hear the songs I'm writing for Sapphirewolf's Project Ragnarok mission.  Going overboard with different styles ;D.

This one will be going into Descent WiiWare as well...
I don't suppose that would make it the official theme of the Thief? :P
