The new Lego GX!

So I got bored today because I had no work and the family was gone and the girlfriend is on the other side of town. What to do?
Well, break out Legos I haven't touched since I was 12!
I know it's not the first time a lego pyro GX was built, but I wanted to bring it to a whole new level. Did I succeed?....... Okay, maybe not. I don't have the self-esteem (or arrogance) to say I did.
But I think it looks pretty good myself.

Lots of missiles and weaponry.

The thumbs up is for size comparison.

A happy Mini-D 1032. Nice little control panel for him. I wonder if he can triple chord without opposable thumbs?

This was easily the most difficult part of the project: successfully building the body around the hoses that run from the intakes on the front to the engines in the rear. This means that the whole body is very precariously put together, and one good drop from just a few inches would shatter the thing. And yes, all the wings and such are adjustable and movable - they were originally able to move 90 degrees but then they got so heavy I had to put pieces on it to arbitrarily limit it's movement. Too bad though - it would have been able to fold up just like in the D2 introduction cutscene.
Of course, I did upload these into the gallery.

I, for one, hope this is
much, much
more than a reconnaissance mission.

Awww trying to steal my thunder!
Looks nice! I wish I had enough parts to curve in my verticle stabilizers!
Hmm, it looks somewhat like the Black Pyro in the cut scenes. Size is the same as mine.
Great job!
