XMPlay is a tiny player for Windows with many features that "big" players like Foobar2000 have. It can play Ogg files, and this version is packed with the BASSMIDI plugin, so it can play MIDI files with Soundfont banks. Which is a plus, as you don't have to spend RAM to load Soundfonts through the BASSMIDI system plugin. There's also a bit more "spice" for MIDI playback, reverb/chorus effects, amplification settings, etc. There's support for Winamp vis and DSP plugins (though the DSP wrapper is a bit glitchy, frankly).

So here it is, XMPlay 3.6 Player. This is a special installer made for PD, with many plugins thrown in. You'd have to hunt for all the disparate files otherwise (not that it's that difficult, everything's linked on the Un4seen website).
