What about Living Legends? That's basically MechWarrior Online.

What about Living Legends? That's basically MechWarrior Online.

Technically the Mechwarrior Online Reboot from Piranha Games (and Infinite Game Publishing) was gonna take place in 3015, but they decided to make it 3049 (and I believe it might be an MMO).  Living Legends takes place somewhere during or post the 3060s (with the Heavy Gauss weapon technology or the Fafnir 'Mech for example)

Q. Will the Clans make an appearance or cameo?

A. ;)
Some people are like Slinkies. They aren't really good or even useful for anything but they always manage to put a little smile on your face when you give them enough of a push down the stairs.

Registered msgerbs, but I wish I could think of a more creative mechwarrior-ish name. Any ideas?

Reserved WillyP, though I doubt I'll play. Just hate to see someone else take such a great name!  ;)

I know this is a bit of a bump, but I thought I'd mention that Closed Beta invitations seem to be going out, for those who have forgotten about this game.

And here I thought everybody here had forgotten about the game by the time the closed beta sign ups started.

Au contraire (and yes, you must trill your 'r's when you read that), if we never saw Highlander why would we be any position to say what quotes were and were not from it?  Especially as used in a game with so many seeming pop-culture references (seeming to someone who doesn't pay attention to pop-culture at all).
But really, I know nothing about Highlander except that it was a movie with a name and that quote; and yet I still recognize that quote immediately.  And I don't pay attention to pop-culture at all.
