In the new one, Sandopolis shows through too much to hear the Descent song. And it had moments where it clashed, too.
With the old one, the two just don't mix that well.

I'll have to admit, Sandopolis and Game22 sucks. Game22 has been so difficult to find a match for. I've tried rearranging Game22 itself so that it starts in the middle and ends with it's dramatic intro, but still... FAIL
Well, I finally found something. I've decided to mix a low key ambient track with it from Twisted Metal Small Brawl. I just need to do some file conversions and naming, then it's a wrap.
I originally planned on stopping at Game26 (D2 Game04) but I was tinkering around and found some pretty good matches for the title/briefing/credit/endgame tracks for D1 and D2, totaling 33 songs in all, covering every song. No exit theme though. If I were to use these songs in game, it would only be if you were able to customize the exit theme for each level. Then, I would make one out of every climatic point in each song for each level. Would be a nice feature to have especially with the exits in Descent Vignettes.

Okay, here are a few more. I went ahead and redid Game12 because I found something that goes with it better.
Game12:
(No items to show)
Game22: (now is this one better out of all the others?)
(No items to show)
Descent Title:
(No items to show)
Briefing:
(No items to show)
About the briefing one, I mixed it with the "Sunrise" track from Descent Community Album. I believe, Kaia, you've told me in the past who makes that one, but I forgot. I have it marked as unknown. Do you know who did it?

It was by Cougar (same guy who did the music for Reactor Gamma).
Thank you for consulting the Kaiaatsel Encyclopedia of Facts.

Game12 and the Briefing are both pretty decent, and the Descent theme's okay. Game22...eh...

and ..... I
finally
got around to listening to some of these. Since some seemed to like the remix for Game07 and since I like the original for Game07, I listened to it ... and I kind of liked it except for one thing. Game07 has an intense (and funky) base line that is very much a part of the tune. Unfortunately, in this remix it is hard to hear that base line. Sorry, but without being able to hear that base line better, I can't recommend that one. Otherwise, I thought it was good.
Game03 is alright.
Game05 is good. I kind of liked it... but I think I would decrease the volume on the high pitched stuff and raise the bass volume a bit.
Game19 ... that is definitely a different take on it. Nice idea.
Game08 ... funkier feel than the original with spookier atmosphere. Think I would have toned down the vocals as they seem to over dominate.
Game10 is nice, but really needs a stronger bass.

Okay, try this updated Game07 remix for size:
(No items to show)
Also, here's the Endgame remix (it's a bit creepy):
(No items to show)
Now, I tried to upload the rest of my stuff (only 4 more, #s 30-33) which are the Descent Credits, Descent 2 Title, Descent 2 Briefing and Descent 2 Credits, but in trying to post Descent Credits, I'm getting a "502 Bad Gateway" error. Is that a PD thing or an ISP thing?

Hmm... let's see here...
Both credits songs are pretty good, although I forget which one I liked better at the moment without relistening, and I don't have the time to at the moment, sadly. Both had the original songs showing through more than past those, so both had moments where they didn't feel that remixed.
The D2 theme remix wasn't bad. The first few moments sound the best, as it's not the sound you expect from that song. Once it gets into the thick of the song, though, it loses that original feel somewhat, though.
And I liked the industrial feel you gave the briefing song.
As for Endgame, eh, it honestly didn't impress me much. Game 07's redo doesn't sound that different to me (So it's still good in my book
)
Sorry that I haven't been able to give you better feedback on the songs than this, but I guess I'm just not a good person to do that for.

I redid Game21. Which is better...
The old Game21:

The new Game21:

And here's a Rave mix of the Redbook track, "Death":

Hmm...I'm not sure, both actually aren't too bad...
The old one did get stuck in a rut the new one doesn't, though...and I do like the new one's chiller feel, though I'm still not sure about the lyrics...

New one:

It's a mash-up mix of the Redbook Audio of Game18 and Apollo Four Forty's "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Dub." IMHO, I think it's the single most bestestest thing I have ever produced. Whatcha think?

Not too bad, the two songs seem to mesh together fairly well.

Didn't think I'd be able to find one for Haunted but it turned out better than I thought.
