It would seem that you know more about him than I do.

Two weeks ago, If Jay Leno walked up to me while doing his "Jay Walk" thing and started asking me questions about Lebron ... as far as I knew he could have been a political candidate.

Now, I know it's about basketball and winning.  Beyond that, is it important?

I doubt.

It's sad how little people know when he does that Jaywalking.

But yeah, I don't know anything about this guy except that he is some basketball player.

is that the greatest insult to a celebrity? making themselves has being something big and you go "who are you?"

Not really. It's all part of the cycle of fame. :P

I would have thought what I said would be. They're trying to be something so great, so popular, and to have some say, "who are you?" may hurt their self esteem or something.
but I'm no celebrity.

I thought of some actors/actresses the other day, big people from a while back. now it's like, what are they doing?

Don't get me started on Lohan. Is she still in jail? She should be. If it were any normal person caught with drugs, they'd be behind bars for a long, long time.

that's what sickens me at times. Too many die hard fans that will love any celeb regardless on what he/she did; and he/she is just too popular to go to jail.

Yeah, sometimes it's real hard to say stuff like "I'm proud to be an American" and still keep a straight face.

yeah. this World is just getting scarier and scarier. It's not just liberals, or just conservatives. I don't think it matters too much anymore.

If it's any consolation, I don't think the phenomenon is restricted to the US.
While parts of the world are dying for their political freedoms, many democratic countries seem to be losing theirs.

It's not.
:cough:Stephen Harper:cough:
:cough:Sam Katz, mayor of Winnipeg:cough:

They only politicians involved with me who I have any confidence in are the provincial NDP government and... well Jack Layton and the NDP in general.  The liberals have not been getting any better and the conservatives are just getting worse (case in point the Canada Post strike -- Stephen Harper is threatening to use legislation to force them back to work).
