Topic: (MOVIE SPOILERS!) Green Lantern and Descent!

OK! SO! I was watching the new Green Lantern movie and -ULTIMATE SPOILERS!!!! READ AND DIE IF YOU DARE!!! Spoil the movie if you wish. I certainly wouldn't if I were you who hasn't seen the movie yet. The similarities between the movie and Descent caused me to have goosebumps!






























Remember Descent 3's intro scene with the MD about to fall into the sun? The movie had almost the same exact scenes from Descent! Even when he was rescued, IT WAS THE SAME AS DESCENT IN ALMOST EVERY DETAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Minus a ship that saves him and a giant enemy, but still!)
I looked on YouTube and got pictures of the two most corrisponding scenes. As soon as I saw the hero drifting towards the sun, I swear that I could feel my self glowing. I called EXACTLY what would happen and the details and I was right! Check out the pictures and the youtube clips if you dare!

I went ahead and spoiled myself. Judging from the reviews and the unimpressive trailers, it doesn't seem like I'm missing much.

The resemblance to D3 is uncanny.

Does seem a bit like D3 though.

I can assure you that it was not low budget. It was just the quality of the potato that he was using to record the movie.

I figured. anything that is recording a television screen and then put on the internet; obviously not getting the best sound will almost always look like poor quality.

I'd think of all the ways of shooting that scene, this is too much of a coincidence to be coincidental.

Good find. I'm personally a bit sick of superhero films though apart from Iron Man, who isn't really a superhero. So I haven't seen this one.

so it's more likely that the ship was brought down after an encounter with yellow energy, or even Parallax (the villain of the film).

BTW, Parallax also looks exactly like the Phantoon from Metroid.

Oh yeah, and the leader Green Lantern guy, ummm...what was his name.....Pinkey! Yeah, his name was Pinkey of course because he was pink.
Anyway, he used Captain America's sheild at one point when he was fighting Hal.
