PTMC Headquarters - Seoul, South Korea
« on: March 27, 2011, 09:41:32 PM »
In D3 Level 4, in the actual Autopilot music track for that level, at around 2:10, some Korean words are spoken in a radio transmission. Anyone know the translation for what is being said? There is also more Korean spoken towards the end at about 5:50... I understood "PTMC" and I think in the 2:10 one, it mentions "Israeli." Could it be referring to the Israeli-Made Pyro-GX? Hmmm...

So... can anyone translate?

This is a rough translation. The first line reads "This is the Captain. Let's get started, listen well. In district 42 a criminal is entering downtown. He is flying in a Israel(made) Pyro etc etc. Let's depart" and the second: "This is sam-ho, the criminal has re-emerged. PTMC Plaza outer perimeter - district 38 - get moving right now."

Now that makes sense! Thank you! Now, are these radio transmissions from the mercenaries or Korean police?

I guess that depends on one's viewpoint of the matter, cuz it can really go either way, couldn't it?

Welll, the translation might look like it could be either - but the Korean is very distinct. In Korean, police chatter and 'mercenary' chatter would be very different sounding. It's definitely police-chatter.

I don't believe Hunter is Korean by heritage, but he does live and work in S. Korea.  (Correct me if I'm wrong, H.  ;) )
