Should I dress up as a Sailor Moon girl?
« on: March 14, 2011, 06:26:12 PM »
I've been thinking about possibly getting a Sailor Moon outfit for cosplaying. What do you think of their uniforms?

they certainly have short skirts. some outfits don't look too bad. blue one towards the right side is pretty nice, where she is on one knee. The other, third one standing up from the left (pink bow, green skirt) is pretty nice.

Typical anime fare, really. Do what you want, whatever it is. I can't judge you as my dream goal would be to dress up in Garland's armor (from ff1) :P

Well, my opinion might be biased as I'm a Sailor Saturn (Hotaru) fan, but definitely I would suggest you to cosplay that character!!  ;D

From what I can see, a Sailor Moon costume would work but only if...
  • You got the right legs for it
  • You're a girl (I hope you are)

You should go in this

agree. you need the legs, and for that matter, the body to pretty much hit it off right. you being a girl. I don't know your age, if short skirts is a concern or not.
personally, I am not into anime or however it is spelled.

The MD1032 isn't a bad jacket. maybe a black jacket.

if you don't mind me asking, what sort of event is this? It's too far to be Halloween. Is this show or cartoon, game, whatever it is, having a new release soon and you're getting dressed up for it?

As far as I can tell (from living with three cosplayers myself), cosplaying usually happens during conventions of various sorts, (in this case, likely an anime convention). It could possibly happen during other events, but I wouldn't know.

I like the light blue one especially

i like blue in general. that's my color :) I don't see the light blue as well though, but from what I see, it looks nice.

In another forum, I think for Halloween, someone dressed up like Philip from the Penumbra series.

I have to admit, I don't really like any of them.  :-\

you don't have to. like I said, I don't care for anime. but for someone who gets into that, I don't mind saying what I may recommend. some things are harder though.

That's not a jacket. That was an official Air Force flight suit.

It was a one time thing only ;)
Actually it was twice. I got lucky because of how school spirit week was set up. "What you want to be day" and "military day."
