It is like fire from the depths of Hades!  

Volcano erupts in Hawii.

A lot of people say, 'O, before I die I want to see the Grand Canyon' or the pyramids, or go skydiving, or whatever.  Those would be nothing compared to seeing lava flowing up close, I think.


It is the most awesome, most powerful thing on the face of the earth, other than love. Nothing stops lava!  Not even the ocean! Slows it down a bit, but look at how many islands are created purely from volcanic flow.  Lava is both destructive and creative, something no other natural force on this planet can claim.

How hot is lava?
Lava is extremely hot. Lava can reach temperatures of about 1,250° Celsius. The lava of the Hawaiian volcanoes reach these temperatures. Normal lava temperatures reach 750° Celsius. That is still much hotter than your oven is capable of reaching.

For a science class I'm in, I've been watching a lot of videos that have a lot of lava in them for some reason. As a result, I've been thinking a lot lately about just how very hot that stuff is, which of course gives me the willies in turn every time I go too far with that line of thought.

I really don't think Jeremy is a spam bot. His posts may seem spammish but look at the crap we post everyday. The only difference is we know each other well enough we accept off topic and inane dribble as just part of the lively banter we engage in. Give the guy a break. Also, it took him an hour to post 10 comments... would a bot do that?

My other theory if it's not a person is it could be designed to let someone look at our profiles and harvest our emails to be spammed.  That person would probably be very disappointed when they discover the true size of this community  .
