Huston, we have a SERIOUS VIRUS prpblem
« on: February 05, 2011, 04:58:37 AM »
Yes. I need to know how to remove Antivirus.net. It is spyware and it is trashing the place.

I am on my DSi.

I am able to access the internet in safe mode when I go to internet options and stop using a proxy.

I have no idea where this came from.

I have tried following instructions on removal. One involved RKill which told terminated the virus's processes (which finally allowed me to update Malwarebytes). Malwarebytes did not find anything.

Manual removal has been unsuccessful because the things that they tell be are not there or it says "/roming/windows/system/[random]" and I have no idea what it means by [random].

Actually, never mind. It fixed itself this morning, but I ran RKill again and did a full system scan using Malwarebytes. It's gone now.
