A Realistic Guitar
« on: December 21, 2010, 05:56:20 AM »
This is Zynaddsub-FX guitar 5 preset with a bit of real distortion on it. Distortion's the built-in distortion/OD preset in Zyn. Who knows why default distorted guitar presets in all synths are so bland, the irony is that the thing is capable of a lot better sound.

It's the same guitar track off the "Paranoid" MIDI file, humanised at 8% in Reaper (velocity variation).

I'd like to use this but when I open it in FL all I get is a window that says "use this to open the external editors".  The window contains nothing else, no buttons, and there are no presets.

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it to work.

Boost the "drive" setting in the preset's distortion effect to get it to sound like this.
