Topic: Unfinished D2 Robotech Scenario Demo

I did recall playing an unfinished Robotech mission set demo for Descent 2 back in the early 2000s (before I knew more about Robotech and getting the first 2 original Robotech DVDs for Xmas 2005).  And I did recall it was made by Dynamo.  Too bad it's lost within the Internet and not in my hard drive.  :'(

I seem to recall that someone had started on that project, or had at least discussed it, but I don't recall ever seeing anything come of it.   If he had announced a download I as sure I would have grabbed it but I might not have gotten around to playing it.  If you know the name of the file I'll look for it.

Dynamo was heading the project, and it wouldn't surprise me of Macron was just rejiggering of Macross.

After months ago of redownloading it at the DMDB and I was thinking "wasn't the term, 'Macron' a reference to 'Macross'?".

It's a 1980s mecha anime TV series, that was Americanized, combined, and revised from Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, Super Dimensional Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada.

Here's the plot:
It's about this Alien SpaceShip known as a BattleFortress that crash landed onto an island in the Pacific that doesn't even exist in real life called Macross Island. Over the next Ten Years, Mankind repairs and refitted the BattleFortress, using advanced Robo-Technology found aboard it to create Fighter Jets that can transform into Mechs/Giant-Piloted-Robots. As soon as the repaired fortress is ready for launch, the aliens to whom it belongs finally discover its location. Thus begins a series of wars that will devastate the planet earth.

P.S. few Mechs from Battletech/Mechwarrior originated from the Macross portion of Robotech (e.g. the Marauder, Archer, Warhammer, and Rifleman)

No offense, but it sounds like a Transformers wanna-be with a slight twist.

Still, it sounds like it had more plot than some shows of the time period, so I give it credit for that much.

First of all, have you forgotten about Hasbro's orginal G1 Jetfire figure being a remold of a Super Valkyrie from Macross?
and also if NUMBERZero thinks it's a Mechwarrior/Battletech wannabe-

Alright, easy fix, just reverse my last statement.

The fact that all of those shows turned up relatively close together, though, it's pretty clear that one was meant to be a wanna-be of another.
