Some Remixes (or remakes) of D1 music

I did five remixes of D1 music a while ago for Newgrounds. I just realized the only forum I posted them on was Pumosoftware.
The remixes are of the level 9, level 16, level 18, level 19, and level 20 songs. Only two of them (level 9 and level 16) have recognizable riffs from the originals. The other three evolved so much during composition that they're just new takes on the same general ideas.
Thomas, NumberZero, and WillyP may recognize some of these.
game09: The Hunted

I always thought game09 should have been called The Hunted. Not sure why.
game16: Poison
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/239089
The name comes from the idea of mining methane. Strange thing about the saturn mines in D1: they could all have been on Titan. Titan has lakes of methane and the rocks are made of water ice.
game18: Anomaly
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/239945
The reason for naming this "Anomaly" is a secret. It has nothing to do with the original level.
game19: Ring of Doom
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/239090
The name is a reference to the structure of D1 level 19: stacked rings.
This is actually a cross between game19 from D1 and the Crisis City BGM from Sonic 2006.
game20: The Dark
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/239553
Probably the least true to the original song. But game20 was boring. So I spiced it up with bits from game18 and game21.

Somehow I can't agree. Game12/20 were some of the greatest pieces in the original game. Fit the mood (especially for 12) VERY WELL.
edit: wrong song

12 and 21 were BOSS. 21 is slightly better quality than 12. I love it!
Funny how level 21 is 12 backwards and they use the same song.

That's what I thought too.
My brother and I love anagrams and spelling words and numbers backwards.
Level 11 and level 22 are the only levels in D1 where the numbers are palindromes. They also have the only songs which each have three distinct parts. (Listen to game11 and game22 to see what I mean. In game22 it's more prominent).
Off Topic:
Some other strange coincidences I noticed (especially in D2 Counterstrike)
Smart mine-laying robots only appear every 8 levels in D2 Counterstrike, that is, every second boss level. These are also the boss levels on planets where none of the levels have any lava. So are smart mines a lava replacement?
Level 21 of D2 Counterstrike seems to be an excuse to get the Diamond Claw and the Thief into every planet. The level design on that mine isn't good at all imo.
On Limefrost Spiral, two of the levels have a Thief and all four of them have Diamond Claws. On Baloris Prime (the next planet), two of the levels have Diamond Claws and all four of them have a Thief.
Each of the "middle" four planets in D2 Counterstrike has a robot that appears on that planet and nowhere else in the mission. Quartzon has the Class 2 Supervisor from D1. Brimspark has the TRN Racer. Limefrost Spiral has the Ice Spindle. And Baloris Prime has the BPer bot.
The BP in BPer bot probably stands for Baloris Prime. When I say it aloud it sounds like Beep-er, which can be funny if you think of censoring profanity.
Limefrost Spiral is the only planet in D2 Counterstrike where all the levels have Diamond Claws. Baloris Prime is the only planet where all the levels have a Thief. Also, on two of the Baloris Prime levels, the Theif is locked in the yellow or red doors, so that by the time it is released, it is much harder to catch (I always try to kill the thief before I get the keys.) Also, on level 19 the Thief has its own yellow area that doesn't lead to the red key, but there is a way to release it early.
