I had a flare battle with S13DriftAZ a couple days ago...

His flares ended up igniting my fuel leak...

I've managed to hit myself with flares too Or ram into a flare on a wall ahrd enough that it transferred to my ship D:

It's really easy to flare yourself. Just flare the wall and slide around touching the flare until it sticks.

Flare-catching (shooting a flare down a hallway and flying past it so it hits you) is actually a pretty good way to practice tri-chording + ab-pulsing.  If you can do it in a Phoenix, you're getting there.  If you can do it in a Pyro-GL, you're pretty fast.  [I'm not sure if it's possible in a Magnum-AHT.]

This reminds me of a netgame me, Techpro, and I believe Foil (dunno if he remembers) did once during which all combat deevolved into shooting each other with flares.

Even though we really weren't doing that much damage to each other, it was still pretty fun.

As I recall, you and I ended up ganging up on TechPro in the flare-fight... I don't remember who got the kill shot, though.
