Oh and the mouse thing doesn't happen all the time why?
Well assuming that everyone's meant to own a copy anyhow - can those files not simply be transferred across from the CD-ROM into the appropriate directory?
Excuse my typical ignorance, but what is the "Dateiliste D3 version"?
I already answered that, Jayman.Again, it happens when you have an extra Descent3 process running (usually left after a crash). Just go to Task Manager, stop any process called 'main.exe'.
No no no I mean why dose it run an extra Descent3 process. Sorry
Jayman, you already own Descent3, correct?

The complete installation of Descent 3 takes at least a few days, and novice computer users have no chance at all.
QuoteThe complete installation of Descent 3 takes at least a few days, and novice computer users have no chance at all.Where did you get that from? I've never had problems installing D3, and it certainly didn't take days.
I just noticed a mention of OG3... Any chance of a working stand-alone installer for that? I got it working for about a month on my old PC and haven't been able to get it working since. It was awesome and I'd love to be able to get it working without downloading and installing all the other stuff I already have.

OG3 =/= D3.
You could install D3 somewhere off the disks, then grab the movies from there and put them where they need to be in the datieliste version.
Look in the 'movies' folder. Any files you don't have.
