A pair o' dachsunds?

This seriously has to be the best nonsense post I've seen in a while.  ;D
I, for one, hope this is much, much more than a reconnaissance mission.

well then it should be on the computer >:(!
I disagree. Sit me in front of a computer and absolutely nothing productive gets done.

((Is this too old to bump? :/)

We'll let the bump slide ...  this time.  ;)

Of course, absolutely everyone knows that by creating the file on a computer, or on the Internet, we "save a tree", right?  What about ...
- all the plastics (and their manufacturing process)?
- the metals (and their shaping process),
- the laminates and chemicals used
- electricity and fuels expended to run the machines to do the plastics and metals
- the silicons and their manufacturing processes
- the shipping and marketing of the finished product
- the many man-hours of labor
- the food those employees consume
- the wastes created by each and everyone of the above items
- the electricity you expend while creating the document (or documents)
- if a laptop, the chemicals and acids contained in the batteries for the laptop (and the resulting problems of disposal when no longer functional)
- .... this list goes on ...

And... that's what we're trying to do by "going green" with 'electronic' documents.

but hey, in a world with BOTH paper documents and 'lectronic documents it's worse than just having electronic documents :P

Well, the computers and such will exist anyway, regardless of whether I store my document on paper or on my laptop. So I dont really how it applies, practically.

And what about:
- The machines to make the paper
- The machines to make the machines to make the paper
- The machines to harvest the wood
- The man-hours to get the wood
- The chemicals used in making the wood
... Need I say more?

So ... What can we actually do that will actually help save resources (dare I say ... "save the planet")?
