Okay, who wanted the file(s)?  Just PM me, I'll give you the link.

...Anyone?

I thought someone wanted the files.  Or did I get the old D1-PSX files for nothing?

Nah, I had wanted them. I just haven't had a chance to respond.

Thanks! I'm already poking at the .HOG file, it looks to be more on par with Doom's .WAD format rather than the PC .HOG format, with the exception that the directory is at the beginning of the file. The directory format stores data relative to someplace in the file (haven't calculated that yet), unlike the PC .HOG format which stores a pile of lumps with the header (including filename and data length) before the lumps itself.

I'm currently working on a data dumper to dump out some of the data. Looking at the thing in a hex editor, I'm seeing a .PSL and .PST file per level, and a few .TXBs, but no sign of .RDL files. I'm guessing either the .PS1 or .PST files contain levels, and in addition to the chaos levels there are five additional levels with the names "PSX1", "PSX2", "PSX3", "PSX4", and "PSX5". No sign of a pig file, or a bitmaps.tbl/bin file yet.

EDIT2: Bad news about the levels: I can't make any sense of them at all. They don't resemble any format I'm familiar with. I see some familiar data in there when compared to the same levels on the PC version, but I have no idea how they're structured.

I can give the HOG dumper tool to anyone who's interested in trying to reverse engineer the format.

Mmh, I think that the levels should be the .PSL files.
I mean, the L may stand for 'Level', right?

And PS for PlayStation of course.
There was someone who already managed to reverse-engineer the format (to bring us the Descent Maximum campaign).  You could try to find him and ask him.  I'll take a look on the DBB and see if I can find his email.

Yeah, the PSL is definitely the level file. The first bit of data in the file is the level name, and I do see some familiar data in there, but I'm just not sure how to process the level data. The PST... I'm not sure, this might be where textures are stored. I need to stick a pixel viewer on it.
