That reminds me of an AP English joke. A teacher asks a question about these blue curtains. "Explain why the curtains are blue in this short story."
The student answers, "The blue curtains represent the sad undertones within the main character who is experiencing depression and-"
The author interrupts, "no, the curtains are blue!"
